About
For fourteen years I have worked as a Graphics Designer creating “design for print”.
I started out as an apprentice and ended my career managing a graphics studio, affiliated to a commercial printer.
In 2007 I changed career path and moved into the teaching profession, in my time I have taught Desk-top Publishing, Photography, Graphics and currently teach ICT.
In an effort to become a “fully qualified” teacher, I enrolled on a Foundation Degree course in Digital Graphic Design at The Manchester College of Art and Technology; I successfully completed this course in 2011.
I am now studying to complete a BA in Interactive Media at the same institution; Liverpool John Moore’s University certificates this course.
In my spare time I work as a sound engineer, mixing live music for a local Ceilidh band.
My specialism
Throughout my career I have been involved in some way with every type of graphic design, but over the years I have seen the industry evolve into the discipline of “interactive media”. I have a close link to education, and so, want to develop my skills in interactive media, specialising, in some way, in media for education
